Addiction

DO YOU STRUGGLE WITH ADDICTION? HAVE YOU RELAPSED MANY TIMES IN YOUR RECOVERY?

Addiction is a complicated and multi-faceted disease. It affects every sphere of a person’s life and the causes are often multiple and complicated. Everyone’s struggle is different, and recovery is a life-long process. There is no cure but just like heart-disease a person can learn to manage their addiction and stay in recovery. Recovery involves both abstinence and changing deeply rooted behaviours.

The chronic nature of addiction means that for some people relapse, or a return to drug use after an attempt to stop, can be part of the process, but newer treatments are designed to help with relapse prevention.

I have experience in working with adults who have addiction issues. I have worked in a psychiatric hospital that has a specialized addiction unit. I can use my experience to help you and your loved ones to face your addiction and find a way to deal with it on a daily basis.

I also provide counselling and support to their loved ones so that they can learn how to deal with their loved one who is facing the addiction struggle.

I can assist you and your loved ones to help you find a way to deal with your addiction and manage your relapses.
